At this time, gradebooks are linked to sections in a student's schedule.
In your situation, since one section represents multiple courses, you can create multiple gradebooks using the same section. Create a separate gradebook linked to the sections for each subject/course that you are teaching. In the Edit Gradebook tab, for gradebook name - use the appropriate subject/course name. Then in the Manage Students tab, add only the students in that subject/course.
Note - do not select the Add/Drop Student Automatically option in the Option tabs.
