Aeries Gradebook, by default will honor the days a student is enrolled in the class and won't factor the assignments in the students overall score. They should appear as NA (Not Applicable) and cannot be edited. When you have a student who enrolled in your class after the assignment was due, Aeries Gradebook will allow you to override this feature in the Override Not Applicable Scores box at the top left hand corner on the Scores by Class Screen near the other filters. By checking this feature the teacher can now edit all of the Not Applicable fields on that screen. It will only factor assignments towards overall points for entries that a teacher made. The student will remains exempt from all other assignments.

I checked the Overide not Applicaable Scores button but as soon as I change the page or refresh, it doesn't stay. The students NA score also never changed (continued to read NA and I couldn't edit their score). What am I doing wrong?

You must check the "Override Not Applicable Scores" box each time that you want to be able to input a mark for a student's assignment before they were enrolled in your class. This means that every time you leave the page or refresh, you have to check the box again. This is meant to prevent accidentally overriding an NA score during normal data entry for the other students.
When you do check the box, you should be able to immediately edit the student's score.

If that doesn't work you can just change the date the assignment was assigned on but keep the due date the same. I don't like to do this because it can confuse students sometimes but it is a quick fix.
