Teachers still have the ability to enter a percent correct on an assignment. However, rather than displaying the calculated number of points earned for that assignment, the gradebook will display the percent entered by the teacher and calculate the points earned in the background. You can see the calculation of points earned based on percent correct for a given assignment by going to Scores by Student.
